The Rs. 37,990 OPPO Find 7 smartphone will be exclusively available in India through online megastore Flipkart.

Chinese company OPPO has launched a new smartphone – Find 7 – in India, which will be sold online exclusively through Indian shopping website Flipkart. Priced at Rs. 37,990, the smartphone will be marketed to the higher-end of the market.

The phone will go on sale from today, August 27, 2014.

Market analysts in India have maintained that the high price will be a big deterrent for Indian buyers, who have traditionally fancied Apple or Samsung in the high-end market.

However, things seem bright for the shopping website Flipkart, who now has added one more device in their exclusive list. Flipkart is the exclusive seller of Motorola Moto phones, the Asus ZenFone series, Celkon Signature Two A500 and Xiaomi devices.

The CEO of OPPO Mobiles India, Tom Lu said, “We have been striving to come closer to our customers and become a part of the society. With more and more consumers going online, having a digital presence has become a must. Flipkart is definitely one of the most popular shopping platforms with a very loyal customer base and by partnering with them, we are sure OPPO’s smartphones will reach out to more customers.”

OPPO is a Chinese electronics brand that is based in Guangdong, China. The brand entered the Indian smartphone market in December 2013 with the N1, which featured a 206 degree rotating camera, a rear touch panel and a 5.9″ screen. OPPO has since launched 10 devices in India that range from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 40,000.
