Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi launched its Mi 10000 mAh Power Bank in China on May 14, 2015. The company has launched the slimmer version of the 10400 mAh portable charger which was launched in 2014.
The new Xiaomi Mi 10000 mAh power bank features the same brushed metal design similar to the previous power banks. The device can be purchased through the official website of Xiaomi in and is available in Red, Silver and Champagne color variants at CNY 69. So far the company has not revealed an details on the global roll out of the new power bank.
The official website of Xiaomi has mentioned that the new Xiaomi Mi 10000 mAh Power Bank has more density than its predecessor by 30% and the volume has been decreased by 21.4 percent compared to the original 10400 mAh offering. The new device is 60.4 mm wide and weighs 207 gms compared to the original device which was 77mm wide and weighed 250 gms.
Other features of the device include LED lights notifications, a micro USB slot for charging the power bank. The Xiaomi official website has mentioned that the power banks are manufactured by LG and Panasonic.
