In some exciting news for the Xiaomi enthusiasts, the company is all set to launch its flagship Mi 5 phone for the Indian market on March 31, 2016. The launch of the new device will be a milestone for the company a year after it launched the Mi 4.
The president of the company Bin Lin in an earlier interview had revealed that the price of the phone is expected to be below Rs. 27,000 and the official price will be revealed on the day of the launch. The phone has already been launched in China where more than 18 million registrations in the first go.
The Mi 5 32 GB variant will have a 1.8 Ghz snapdragon 820 chipset with 3GB of RAM and the 64 GB variant will have a 2.15 Ghz snapdragon 820 chipset with 3GB of RAM. The phone will also come in a 128 GB variant that will feature a 2.15 Ghz snapdragon 820 chipset and will be paired with 4 GB of RAM. The Mi 5 phones in China feature a 5.15 inch 1080p display and other features include 16 megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording abilities and a 4 mega pixel selfie camera.
The new phone is expected to have a great response in the Indian market.
