Asia Bizz: Russian Company Orbital Technologies To Place Space Hotel By 2016
It has been reported that the Russian company, Orbital Technologies, will place a Space Hotel into space by the year 2016. Sergei Kostenko, the director of the company has stated, the Space Hotel concept is now in the design stage, and the first module of the Space Hotel will be built by 2012-13, and will be placed into space by the end of 2015 or early 2016.
The first module of the Space Hotel is proposed to be 20 Cubic Meters, and the construction of this project will be done by RSC Energia. The officials of the project have stated that, the project is totally looking in the hands of RSC Energia. The concept of the Space Hotel has been on paper since 10 years, so now the plans of the construction are in full swing.
The Russian Space Agency wanted to go back into Space with its indigenous space station, and the concept of a commercial Space Station was not bad at all, rather it is a wonderful idea that has come up by the Russian Space management. On the other hand NASA has planned to begin deorbiting the International Space Station by the year 2016 to 2020, so the Space Hotel coming up by Russia will be the only place in the outer space for Cosmonauts and Astronauts will be able to dock and live within. All together we can say the plan of putting a Space Hotel up into space by Russia is a very bright idea, and we hope that Russia completes this indigenous project as soon as possible.
