Asia Bizz: Léo Apotheker is the New CEO of Hewlett-Packard
Léo Apotheker will be the new CEO of Hewlett-Packard and take over from current  CEO Mark Hurd in the month of November.
Hewlett-Packard after around two months finally decided on Thursday that Léo Apotheker will be the new chief executive. Léo Apotheker was formerly the CEO of the company SAP which is a software firm.
In a press release Hewlett-Packard released a statement that,
“Léo has been a leader in anticipating the transformation taking place in our industry, and we believe he is uniquely positioned to help accelerate HP’s strategy.”
Before this decision by HP, it was expected that someone from inside of the company would be a candidate for this position, but this decision comes to a surprise particularly for Todd Bradley, the current executive vice president and Ann Livermore who were assumed to be the leading contenders for this position.
