Asia Bizz: Apple Inc. Gains 70% More Profit For The Q4 In Context Of iPhone4 Sales
American technology giant, Apple Inc. has registered a 70% increase in its profits for the Q4, thanks to the boosted sales of the Apple iPhone4. Apple smacked a profit of $4.3 billion for the fourth quarter, because of the sales and demands for their upgraded phones, tablets and computers in the market. The total revenue generated for the period ending in September 2010, is worth $20.34 billion.
Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, stated that he is very happy as the company has earned a total of $4.3 billion after the deduction of tax, a direct jump by 70%. This quarters revenue statement has blown the roof off Apple, as it has broke records in revenue earnings.
In this quarter, Apple managed to sell an incredible number of iPhones, the total number of iPhones sold this year is 14.1 million units. Apple has clearly overtaken RIM in the number of sales of their smartphones, as RIM has sold some 12.1 million phones this year. Keeping the phones aside, there was a record increase in the number of tablets and PC’s sold in the market, which also have a credible share in the profit increase.
