Asia Bizz: Nissan Micra Diesel Bookings Open In India

The Nissan Micra Diesel bookings have officially been open in 20 outlets across India, as the company is aiming to sell at least 4500 units of the Micra variant in the coming year. The petrol version of the vehicle has been in the country since more than half a year now and by far it has been doing very well in the sales sector. The Diesel version is said to go on sale sometime before Christmas.

All the 20 dealers across India have commenced to sell these cars, and their delivery will be during the period just before Christmas. The Japanese car manufacturer is looking forward to make a strong sale in India, as India is considered a huge market for small hatch backs.

CEO and MD of Nissan Motors India,Mr. Kiminobu Tokuyama, has said “The success of petrol variant of Micra in the domestic market has given us huge confidence to introduce Diesel variant within six months from the launch of petrol version. We are aware that this is a very important phase of our journey and we standby our commitment to provide Indian customers with a full range of products and services. We are confident that Diesel-powered Micra would fulfill the discerning needs of Indian Customers”.

As per the Japanese counter part, they are looking for a strong growth within India itself and by making the company concrete and strong as other Japanese car companies in India.
