Asia Bizz: Airtel new logo 2010 to be launched soon in India

The most popular telecom service provider Bharti Airtel is now all set to get a make-over. According to the sources the company is planning to spend hundreds of crores for its new look and that the new logo will be launched for India as well as the overseas.

The company had acquired African operations worth of $10.7 billion, earlier this year. Bharti announced that it would launch its Airtel brand in Africa around October or November 2010. There will be about 40 million subscribers from Africa. India, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, and 15 other countries in Africa will have wireless operations.

The new logo will have a twist with the brand name ‘Airtel’ while the red color will remain constant. The whole task of ‘brand change’ is looked after by J Walter Thompson (JWT). Along with the new logo, recharge vouchers and publicity material of the company will also be featured during the launch.
