Asia Bizz: German automotive giant BMW has launched the latest 5-Series luxury sedan in India and has been fairly priced at Rs.36.9 lakhs in the market. The new BMW 520d comes with a two litre V4 engine, that is controlled with an eight speed automatic transmission. As the vehicle is ordered that car will be received in a complete knocked down kit from its Chennai Plant.
The 520d is available almost all its outlets in India and is the second upgrade since the launch of the 5-Series luxury sedan. Andreas Schaaf the BMW President for India has said “The 5-series is the core model in our product portfolio. The new BMW 5 Series sedan, since its launch in April 2010, has successfully emerged as a leader in the luxury sedan segment in India.”
Yes it has been witnessed by all auto experts that the BMW 5-Series has indeed become a luxury sedan leader in India. After the vehicle was tested at the Automotive Research Association of India, they have stated that the vehicle returned a very decent mileage of 18.4 kmpl. The car punches out a 184 BHP from its small two litre engine and trots from 0-100 in just 8.1 seconds.
