Asia Bizz: Information technology company Hewlett-Packard (HP) is reported to be entering the market of cloud-computing business and will compete with the likes of Google and Amazon.
Hewlett-Packard announced that they had plans for cloud computing and will offer a proper infrastructure as well as platform services.
The company has planned to diliver an open cloud marketplace which will enable developers to create applications to businesses, as well as the direct consumers. Last year, HP purchased smart phone maker Palm, along with its WebOS.
It will be tough for HP to have a market share, as big competitors like Amazon and Google are already doing well. No date of the official launch was announced by Hewlett-Packard yet.
HP has done a lot in the world of IT and has been one of the most important companies in this sector. The one reason that many will not be in favour of this new move by HP is because this is not too creative nor does it have any compelling features at the moment.
