Asia Bizz: The much awaited HTC Sensation Smartphone is expected to be launched in the Indian markets somewhere around May/June 2011. The Android 2.3 phone was first revealed in London on Tuesday, and if reports are to be believed, Indian customers will have to wait only 1-2 more months at the most to buy this gadget.

The HTC Sensation is the first phone by the Taiwan-based company to come equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, thanks to Qualcomm’s newest offering – the MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset. If that’s not all, this gadget has something new to offer to users – the brand new HTC sense 3.0 UI.

Some of the other noteworthy features of the new HTC Android phone is it’s 768 MB RAM, an 8MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera, as well as a 4.3 inch qHD display.

So what’s the big deal with the brand new interface? For starters, the HTC sense 3.0 UI interface is keeping up with the times and is expected to support several 3D effects. The accompanying 3D widgets and useful shortcuts are the other plus points, besides the 360-degree menu carousels.

Being in direct comparison with the Samsung Galaxy II phone, makes it a very tough competitor in the smartphone market, but this new HTC smartphone seems to be on the top of it’s league.

For Indian customers, the price tag of the HTC Sensation comes a little on the higher side, and people will need to shell out approx. INR 30,000 or more.
