Asia Bizz: Korean electronics manufacturing company Samsung has officially announced the release date of it’s much awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Britain. The new Galaxy tab will be dropped in the UK market on 4th August 2011 against the Apple iPad 2.

Samsung is all set to launch its first 10 inch tablet in the market, which will be directly competing against the much hyped Apple iPad. The Galaxy Tab will have a 1GHz dual core processor which will be powered by the Android 3.1 Honeycomb Operating System.

The tablet will be available with either only Wi-Fi or W-Fi with 3G in black, as well as white colors. The Samsung 10-inch tablet comes with a 3 megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p HD video recording. It will also have a front-facing 2 mega pixel camera for video-calling purpose.

Simon Stanford, the Managing director of the Samsung mobile in the UK, has said that the new tablet will be the latest example of Samsung’s innovation in the market and its commitment towards the Android market. Stanford also added that the Galaxy Tab will have excellent screens, premium designs with compelling entertainment features.
