Asia Bizz: Japanese electronics manufacturing giant Sony has recently launched its first tablets, which will be based on Google’s Android OS. The company has launched two models S and P, which is the first by the company, with a distinct tapered design.
The S model has a 9.4 inch screen, while the P model is a folding clamshell model that has smaller screens. The company has claimed that the tablets offers the best features in the Android tablet market, which will enable users to encounter fast web browsing, in addition to PlayStation games.
Sony has also claimed that the tablet PCs have some of the features which are not even available in Apple’s iPad. The S model has features that will be like an in-built remote control, which can be used with the help of any infra-red devices.
The latest release by Sony is expected to be a benchmark in the Android tablet market. The company has made attempts to make fascinating innovations in the hardware instead of the software. The S model of Sony will go on sale in the middle of September 2011, while P model will be available in the market by the month of November 2011.
