Asia Bizz: French automotive manufacturer Renault has announced that it will launch three new models by the end of 2012 in India. The three models will also include a small car particularly aimed towards the Indian car market.
By the end of the launch there will be five models of Renault in the market and it will be a fully owned subsidy in the Asian country.
A mini SUV called the Duster will make it to the Indian shores by June-July next year; the price segment is expected to be very competitive. India being the third largest car market in Asia, Renault expects to be in the top three vehicle manufacturers in the country by the end of 2015.
With the launch of the Koleos recently in the country, Renault has massive plans for India. The French car manufacturer who had partnered with Mahindra and launched the Logan, was not able to create a massive impact in the market. It’s foreseeing a new era in India in the future.
