Asia Bizz: Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo has launched its first series of tablet PCs in the Indian market on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. The tablets IdeaPad Tablet K1 and ThinkPad Tablet, are specially designed for business people in India.

Lenovo will soon also be launching the IdeaPad Tablet A1 along with the other two tablets. All the three tablets are based on the Android 3.1 Honeycomb and is powered by Nvidia Tegra Dual Core processors.

Lenovo has also claimed that all the three tablets consume less power due to which they would have a longer battery life. The tablets will come pre-loaded with more than 40 apps. Moreover, the users would also have an access to the Lenovo App Shop and also the applications in the Android market. The ThinkPad Tablet and IdeaPad Tablet K1 can be bought in three variants, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB with a starting price of Rs. 29,500.

On the other hand, the IdeaPad A1 will be available only in 16GB variant and would be priced at Rs. 14,990. The company has also announced its strategy for the tablet market. In the next few months, as a part of its global strategy, the company would be introducing tablets and platforms. This would help the company to build a winning range that would cater to individual needs of the customers.
