Asia Bizz: Mobile phone manufacturer Motorola has launched its Defy+ in the Indian market on November 8, 2011. The new Android phone will be available through Flipkart.com and Letsbuy.com and has been priced at Rs.17,990.
The new Defy+ phone is the advanced version of the earlier phone Defy, which was priced at Rs. 15,400. The new Defy+ was launched globally on 15th August and is now available in India as well as other parts of Asia.
While taking about the comparison with the older Defy, the new smartphone is indeed better than the earlier version in terms of software as well as hardware. The new Defy + runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by a 1GHz processor due to which it becomes 25 percent faster than the older version.
The features of the Defy+ include a 5 megapixel back camera and a 3.7-inch touch display. The only drawback is that it does not have a front-camera and that it looks exactly the same as the older version. The plus point is that it has a faster processor and a sturdier body. Moreover, it does not have a commercial look and looks very industrial which might not attract customers. The Micro SD card holder has been placed below the battery which keeps it protected from water.
