Asia Bizz: Indian telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a push e-mail service for all its subscribers in the country on November 14, 2011. For the new service, BSNL has joined hands with Bharat Berry Technologies.
The company said that after the successful launch of Bharat Berry services with MTNL Delhi and MTNL Mumbai a few months back, the Bharat Berry services would also be available for all the BSNL GSM mobile subscribers throughout the country. With the help of the new service, the new emails can now be actively transferred.
At present, Bharat Berry works with most of the mobile phones and can also provide the advanced push email service with the help of the back up provided by the users mobile like the contacts, tasks, notes and calendar. The state-owned company is targeting the range of handsets with Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and J2ME that will be covering all the major mobile handsets.
RK Upadhyay, the chairman and managing director of BSNL said that with the improvement in the connectivity and increase in the data usage, more and more customers are looking for the push email service so as to remain connected even on the go.
