Asia Bizz: Two wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motorcycle India, has launched its cruiser bike Intruder M800 in the Indian market November 28, 2011. Apart from the latest bike, the company also sells other super bikes like the Intruder M 1800 cc, GSX-R1000, Hayabusa 1350cc and Bandit 1200 S in the Indian market.

The latest Intruder has been priced at Rs.8.88 lakh and has been powered by a 805 cc fuel injected liquid cooled with a 2 cylinder OHC 8 valve V Twin engine. The new Suzuki Intruder will be available in 12 cities in the country including Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

The new Intruder will be competing against the Harley Davidson and features loads of chrome and a comfortable wide seat. Some of the technical features include a max power of 53 BHp @ 6,000 rpm and max torque of 62 Nm@ 4,000 rpm.

It has a fuel tank capacity of 15.5 litres and has a electronic ignition with electric starter system. The M800 has a 5 speed transmission constant mesh cruiser with an instrument cluster with fuel gauge and also a clock with 32 bit processor or ECM. Atul Gupta, the Vice president of sales and marketing of Suzuki Motors India, said that the new Intruder M800 is an entry level in the cruiser segment that performs like its elder brother M1800.
