Asia Bizz: After the disruption of services of the Indian telecom company Bharti Airtel, the company has now partially restored the services. The services of the network were disrupted in the Mumbai circle after a fire broke out in one of the data centres in the city.
The company has assured that the network would be fully operational by evening on December 28, 2011. The services of mobile voice, BlackBerry and SMS services were also disrupted, but were soon restored.
The company said that they had a tough time while restoring the data services back to normalcy. Airtel, in an official statement on December 27, said that there was a network outage in the Western regions on Tuesday morning as fire broke out in one of thepoint of presence location in Malad area in Mumbai.
The statement further added that their technical teams has been constantly working on the restoration services in the affected areas. At present, the company is working towards the restoration of the 2G and 3G services. The statement also added that for the Enterprise services like the IPLC, MPLS, Leased lines and the internet connections, the restoration work is in progress and are expected to be restored in the nest 24
hours.
