Asia Bizz: The tablet makers in India are now adopting a new technique in order to increase the sales of their devices. Motorola India has once again slashed the prices of its Android Xoom tablets in a bid to outdo the thriving competition in the Indian tablet PC market.

Certain reports have mentioned that the company has slashed the prices of its tablet.s However, the reports have not yet mentioned the exact price cut of the tablet, but it has stated that the different Indian online websites are selling the tablet with slashed prices.

The popular online retailer Flipkart is selling the Wi-Fi 32 GB enabled tablet for Rs. 26,000. On the other hand,  Koovs is selling the same version for Rs. 21,500 and the Wi-Fi 3G model for Rs. 25,000.

Earlier, the 32 GB version of the tablet was priced at Rs. 33,000 while the Wi-Fi version was priced at Rs. 31,000. While talking about the processor, the Xoom is powered by 1GHz NVDIA Tegra dual core processor along with 1GB RAM. The other features include 5 megapixel rear camera, 10.1 inch display and 2 megapixel front facing camera. The memory of the tablet can be expanded with micro SD cards. Moreover, the tablet will also get an update of the Ice Cream Sandwich. Last week, RIM also cut the price of its PlayBook by 50 %.
