Asia Bizz: Computer peripherals provider Kobian has launched its Mercury mTab2 in the Indian market this 2012 with some more advanced features and at a lower price than other tablet PCs. The company earlier launched the mTab, which was one of the first sub-Rs 10,000 tablets to be launched in the country.

While talking about the target consumers, Kobian said that the tablet PC has been designed with features for people on the go and also for those who seek style, as well as high quality connectivity.

The features of the Mercury mTab2 seem interesting – it comes with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display and is powered by a Dual Core 1 GHz processor. It has built in Wi-Fi and the front camera of the tab makes video chat and conference an easy task. The new mTab2 also supports most USB 3G dongles available in India which makes it easier for the user to access the internet.

The mTabs2’s full USB 2.0 port allows the user to connect to devices like the keyboard, mouse as well as pen drive. Kobian claimed that the new tablet has a long battery life with a back up of up to eight hours. The best part is that the new tab by Kobian is easy to carry around and can comfortably fit in to the pocket of a jacket.

The tab has been priced at Rs. 11,999 along with a warranty of one year.
