Asia Bizz: Japanese based international broadcasting service, NHK World, has announced the introduction of new Internet options on February 9, 2012. The new Internet options are designed to make services more accessible to the audience across the range of platforms.

A new application has been launched by the NHL World for tablets running on the Android OS, through which users can enjoy live streaming of its news, cultural programmes and documentaries. The new service will reach out to the viewers across the globe.

The service can be downloaded free of charge and requires the viewers to input the ‘NHK World TV Live’ on Android market to download the new application. Initially the service will be available only for overseas market, but the company now plans to introduce it in Japan after the stability of the service is confirmed.

Live streaming by NHK World Radio Japan will also begin through its website in all 18 languages in which it broadcasts and listeners will enjoy powerful programs and the latest news from Japan.
