Asia Bizz: Taiwanese manufacturer HTC has launched its new range of smartphone models on February 26, 2012. The new smartphones have been launched with power-packed features that include advanced cameras.
HTC has put the new smartphone models on sale in order to maintain its position in the Taiwanese market. The new smartphones were unveiled at the Barcelona Mobile World World Congress, an event that is crucial for its competition with Samsung and Apple Inc.
HTC was struggling to compete with the other majors in the market. This was the time when the sales had gone down and the investors too had dumped its shares.
Malik Saadi, Principal Analyst at Informa Telecoms & Media said that the company now seems to have learned from its mistakes made in the year 2011. Saadi added that the company now aims to concentrate on what they do the best with the help of bringing innovation through design of premium devices rather than spreading efforts across all the segments of the market.
HTC has launched its One series, which has three models, One X, One S and One V. All the three run on the Android software by Google. The smartphones feature the company’s image sense camera technology that delivers digital camera like quality.
