FIR has been lodged against about 80 workers of the Maruti Suzuki India’s Manesar plant after one person was killed on July 18, 2012 in a clash between workers and the managerial staff. Sources revealed that an unidentified charred body was found in the premises of one of the negotiators for Maruti Suzuki.

Moreover, many of the Japanese officials from Suzuki were also injured in the clash and are at present admitted in the hospital. About 80 men have been chargesheeted and the police is now searching for about 30 people who had after the incident gone under ground.

In the mean time the company said that the plant will remain closed. Om Prakash SHO Manesar, “The management has given some names of union leaders. An FIR has been lodged against around 60 workers”.

Cases have been registered under the sections of murder, attempt to murder, causing grievous injuries and damage to properties and other different sections of IPC has been registered against the workers. Prakash did not comment is any arrests have been made so far. Prakash added, “The workers who instigated the violence and committed the crime have been identified and will soon be arrested”. The company revealed that violence broke out in the evening when a worker beat up a supervisor on the shop floor.
