Indian tablet manufacturer, Karbonn Mobiles on Friday unveiled a pocket friendly tablet based on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform. The company has introduced its Smart Tab I tablet which is MIPS Based JZ4770 SoC from Ingenic as its running core.

The tab is also powered by a 1.2 Ghz processor. Karbonn said that the device will be available for pre-booking at the official website of the company. Free upgrade will be provided by Karbonn to the consumers from their pre-loaded Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform to Android Jelly Bean platform.

The features of the tablet include 17.8 cms 5 point touch screen powered by 3,700 mAh battery, 3D gravity sensor, Wi Fi, 3G support through USB dongle. The device has been priced at Rs. 6,990 and is said to feature a 3D gravity sensor along with 2 megapixel front camera and pre-embedded applications like the Karbonn Smart Browser and Karbonn Smart Games.
