Germany and China on August 30, 2012 has signed a series of cooperative documents which includes a procurement deal for 50 Airbus planes. Chinese Premiere Wen Jiabao and German Chancellor Angela Merkel attended the signing ceremony.

Wen and Merkel had co-chaired the second round of Chinese-German intergovernmental consultations. Airbus and ICBC of China signed the procurement deal for 50 Airbus A320 planes with a worth of $3.5 billion. The two countries also signed more than 10 other cooperative documents including an agreement about Airbus plane resembling China. The documents are related to the automobile, aviation, communication, energy, environment and health to maritime cooperation.
