Thousands of cricket fans in India and Pakistan are now eagerly looking forward to the upcoming India and Pakistan cricket series in India. The series is scheduled to begin on December 25, 2012. For the cricketing series, India will be issuing about 3,000 visas to Pakistani fans along with an additional 300 visas to their neighboring VIP’s.
This is the first time that the authorities in India have agreed to issue multiple city visas to people from the rival state, providing the fans produce the match tickets along with travel documents and their hotel reservation slips. Indian Home Ministry officials said that the news has been conveyed to Pakistan as well.
