South Korean giant Samsung has launched two new smartphones named Galaxy Star and Pocket Neo in the South African market. The Pocket Neo smartphone will be available for sale by the month of May 2013.
Reports say that the Pocket Neo and Star are low-range Android smartphones which run on the 4.1 version of the operating system. With these new releases Samsung has managed to maintain the fact that the Galaxy S4 is not the only handset which is being discussed everywhere.
The latest smartphone it is expected to have a QVGA display, which stretched across 3 inches on the front panel. The other features of the phone include a 2 megapixel rear camera, which is the only medium for the users to capture photos and videos.
The Neo also has an 850 MHz Cortex SoC and it supports 7.2 Mbps HSPDA. The connectivity features of the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. In terms of the color, it is still not confirmed whether the phone will be available in silver and it is still unclear whether it will have a single SIM version. The device will provide 4 GB internal storage, DUAL SIM support and 512 MB RAM. With this new release, Samsung are looking to provide an affordable smartphone for people with limited budgets.
