BlackBerry has launched a new plan which will offer internet services for just Rs. 129 per GB. The new plan has been launched in the low revenue generating circles like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The plan has been launched in these circles with an aim to deeply penetrate in such regions.
The new plan will be available on a monthly basis on networks like Idea Cellular, Aircel and Vodafone. The information on the new plan was given by Hitesh Shah, the BlackBerry India’s director for Commercial Relationships. On the other hand, the plan will be limited to the use of BlackBerry Messenger in the metros and top four telecom circles of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Shah said, “We are trying to get deeper into market with affordable plans. For 15 telecom circles which excludes metros and category A circles, BlackBerry will offer consumer access to all BlackBerry Services for Rs 129 limited up to 1 GB”. BlackBerry will offer various services like email, BB Messenger, instant messaging, internet browsing, social networking on the new plan.
The new offer will run with BlackBerry OS 7 smartphones, which include BlackBerry Bold 9990, BlackBerry Curve 9320, BlackBerry Bold 9 and BlackBerry Curve 9220 smartphone models.
