Search engine giant Google is now planning to get its share of the Indian market as it is looking to enter India with Android Nation. This new move by the company will help Android to penetrate deeper in the country. Google will be teaming up with BK Modi’s Spice Global in order to set up new stores in different Indian cities, beginning with New Delhi later in 2013.
Every Android Nation store will promote and sell Android smartphones and tablets across multiple brands like Samsung, Sony, HTC, Asus and LG, among many others. The stores will be also serving as an Android experience center. At these stores, customers will be able to find out more about the latest Android apps and will also get help from experts, download software updates and find out more about the latest accessories for their devices. One very important part regarding this move is that India is the second country, after Indonesia, to get Android Nation stores.
This move will also show how much importance Google has given to the Indian market. The first Android Nation store was opened in Jakarta, mid 2012. At the moment, Google operates two such stores in Jakarta, in partnership with the Indonesian electronics retailer Erafone.
