After the success of Nissan’s premium hatchback range in the Indian market, the Japan-based company has launched its new diesel-powered Micra XE variant on September 4, 2013, which has been priced at Rs. 5.57 lakh (ex-showroom price New Delhi). The company will start selling its new diesel variant of Micra from September 4, 2013.
The new entry-level Micra XE is based on the fourth generation city car and has redesigned exteriors and interiors. The latest vehicle has a fuel economy of 23.8 kmpl and will be available in a range of six colors. The Micra XE will be offered in Turquoise Blue, Olive Green, Blade Silver, Onyx Green, Brick Red and Storm White.
The new variant has a sculpted bonnet and front bumper with recognizable V-shaped chrome grille. Even the rear portion of the car has a redesigned bumper, which is similar to the New Micra variants with a lip finisher and bright lamps with high mounted LED stop lamp. At the launch, Kenichiro Yomura, the president of Nissan India Operations said, “The launch of new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers.”
Yomura went on to say that he is confident that the new Micra diesel variant is a good value proposition and a desirable option for the Indian customers.
