The Chinese nationals will be enabled to receive UK visas easier and faster when they decide to apply for them. The UK officials have stated on Monday, October 14, 2013 that the recent move has been designed in order to attract an increased number of tourists, as well as investors from China.

UK Visas

The new proposal states that tourists from China who are visiting the EU via selected travel agencies will not be required to file a separate application in order to visit the UK. As of summer 2014, businesspeople from China can apply for a 'super-priority' visa, which will then be processed in 24 hours, instead of one week.

The new 'mobile visa service' – which has a goal to target business executives and allows visa teams to collect forms and data at the workplaces of applicants – will most likely be extended from Beijing and Shanghai to other cities in China. In addition to that, the British embassy in Beijing said that the number of UK visas issued to the nationals of China is continuing to rise further.

During the first half of 2013, the number of visas issued to Chinese nationals increased by more than 30 percent, when compared to the same period in 2012. The visa manager at the British embassy in Beijing, Dominique Hardy said that her team is continuously working in order to speed up processing visas for the applicants from China.
