Social networking giant Facebook is getting ready to purchase Little Eye Labs, a company based in India. The start-up firm builds performance analysis and monitoring tools for Android apps and Facebook’s latest acquisition will be its first-ever deal in the country.
In recent times, the US-based giant has been making attempts to improve its mobile technology. Facebook has been trying to generate more revenue from its mobile advertising business. For the time being, the terms of the deal have not been revealed, but media reports hinted that the price was less than $15 million. The latest development is good news for India, as it might increase interest in the country’s start-ups.
The social networking giant was not immediately available for comment. Little Eye Labs features the Bangalore-based team and all employees will move to the quarters of Facebook, which are located in Menlo Park in California. The company released a statement on its website which said, “We released our official version of Little Eye for Android in early April of this year, and since then we have had many Android developers and testers using Little Eye Labs to measure, analyze, and optimize their app’s performance”.
The company builds mobile app analysis tools for app developers and testers.
