SriLankan Airlines and Oman Air have teamed up in a new codeshare agreement. Under the latest agreement, SriLankan Airlines and Oman Air will offer more choices and additional convenience to customers of both airlines. The agreement officially came into effect on January 23, 2014.
The new deal between the two companies will allow customers from both sides to book seats on SriLankan Airlines’ services from Muscat to Singapore, Male and China via Colombo. On the other hand, customers of SriLankan Airlines will be able to book seats on Oman Air flights from Colombo to Zurich, through Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Kapila Chandrasena, the Chief Executive Officer of SriLankan Airlines said, “SriLankan Airlines and Oman Air have had a long history of cooperation since the signing of the bilateral Air Services Agreement between Sri Lanka and the Sultanate of Oman in 1981.” The CEO went on to say that the current partnership will help to further strengthen the long-standing operations between the two airlines and will also help in boosting tourism in both countries.
Wayne Pearce, the CEO of Oman Air expressed that they are delighted to join SriLankan Airlines under the terms of the codeshare agreement and are looking forward towards a great relationship and meeting demands of passengers from both sides.
