A source said that Samsung is working on the next generation of the Samsung Gear 2 and will be sold in a bundled package with the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.

The new Samsung Gear 3 is expected to be out during the second half of 2014. The smartwatches of Samsung , the Galaxy Gear and the Samsung Gear 2 have been in the market since 2013 and has also introduced the smartband Gear Fit.

The Note 4 is expected to be launched during the IFA 2014 electronics trade show in September. The Gear 3 device is likely to hit the market across the globe during the same time.

Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear during the IFA 2013 in September. No further details were revealed about the new device but said that a SIM installed variant of the Galaxy Gear 2 –  the Gear Solo –  will fill the gap between the new releases.

Analysts have said that Samsung is trying to shorten the gaps between its releases due to the tough competition from the other rivals in the global smartphone and wearable gadgets market.
