New Volkswagen Polo to launch in Indian markets in July.

A few months back, reports had hinted that Volkswagen India is all set to give its Polo a makeover by July 2014. The company has now made an official announcement that the new and renewed Polo will be launched on July 15, 2014. The updated Polo will have a few similarities to the European model which also received a makeover a few months back.

The new vehicle is expected to have new  tail light design and the front bumper on the test car has a revised air dam with a fog lamp housing. Unlike the mules in the tests earlier, the new vehicle does not have any chrome treatment and no alloy wheels either. The interiors of the car are not visible in the pictures but the steering does not have any steering mounted controls.

The top end version of the car will have alloy wheels equipped with double barrel headlamps, bluetooth, telephony, chrome garnish, steering mounted controls and climate control. The European version of the vehicle has swapped its characteristic solid red hue for a metallic maroon, while the Indian variant will have a bright orange shade in the updated design.

The petrol variant of Polo will have a 1.2 litre engine and is expected to have a better fuel efficiency.
