Tech giants Apple and IBM to join forces.
US based tech giant Apple and International Business Machines Corporation also known as IBM, have joined hands to tackle the enterprise market. With the recent partnership, both the companies will be combining their best strengths.
The companies are viewing this partnership as a landmark event and are expecting to completely overhaul the way business is run. The new partnership will address important mobility challenges and mobile-led business change.
The computer hardware company said that it will merge its analytics expertise and huge database with Apple’s ingenious iPad and iPhone features.
The new move by the companies is also expected to transform – the other wise user focussed – Apple into a solid business corporation. IBM will be selling iOS devices to its corporate clients, the devices will be pre-loaded with the software that IBM and Apple have jointly created.
The companies with the new joint venture will also be launching a new category of mobile apps which will fulfill the needs of some specific industries like banking, retail, healthcare, insurance and telecommunication.
Meanwhile, Apple has also announced that it plans to launch a new customer service – ‘AppleCare for Enterprise’ – which provides IT departments and users with support 24/7.
