Bollywood’s Munna Bhai, Sanjay Dutt is now a free man. The actor walked out of the Yerwada Jail in Pune on February 25,2016 after he was imprisoned in May, 2013 in the Mumbai blasts case.
Dutt served 42 months in prison and was received by wife Manyata and children outside the jail. Sanjay was also received by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, several fans and media waiting outside the jail. The actor was seen in a blue shirt and jeans and was seen carrying a huge bag of his belongings with a few files that had his documents.
Dutt stopped put down his bag and saluted the tricolor on top of the jail where he spent a memorable time of his life. The actor earlier also thanked the police and the staff at the jail. The authorities at the jail made sure they did not get too close with the Bollywood star.
Sanjay drove to Pune Airport at Lohegaon and boarded a chartered plane to Mumbai. The actor interacted with the media and thanked his fans for the immense support. Sanjay is expected to visit Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai after that he would visit the grave of his late mother Nargis Dutt who died of cancer. The actor is likely to meet the media in the afternoon at his Bandra house.
