French automobile manufacturer Renault has launched two new variants of its small car Kwid. Renault has launched two one litre variants that are priced Rs. 22,000 more than the 0.8 litre versions.
The two new variants are priced at Rs. 3,82, 776 and Rs. 3,95,776 respectively. Kwid releleased a statement which said, “The KWID 1.0L SCe sets new benchmarks in length, power to weight ratio, boot space, ground clearance and technology”.
Renault launched its Kwid in the Indian market around a year back and has already managed to sell more than 1,65,000 cars since then. The new Kwid will give the customers a more power option in the compact hatchback segment. Sumit Sawhney, the country CEO and managing director at Renault India Operations said that the car has managed to generate an unprecedented success in its category and has also won many hearts of the customers.
The new Kwid has been designed for better performance and ahs four valves per cylinder for double overhead camshaft layout for low pressure drop. The 1.0L new Kwid will also feature a new speed sport designer graphics on the doors and two-tone gloss grey ORVMS to enhance its style. It will also come with a pro-sense seat belt pretensioners with load limiters which is an important safety feature.
