Asia Bizz: MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) has come up now with a push e-mail service in association with Bharat Berry Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The new service will cater to its 8 million plus customers in Mumbai and Delhi in India.
Bharat Berry Technologies Pvt. Ltd is a Delhi-based company which offers push email services with all mobile phones. The company is India’s first legally compliant and approved service. More customers are looking forward to this push-email service on their mobile handsets to remain connected.
In the push email service, the user can get emails without refreshing their accounts. This service works with Blackberry, Symbian, Android, Windows Mobile and J2ME handsets over GPRS. The service is expected to be available on both post-paid and pre-paid handsets. The subscription charges would be Rs. 50 each for push emails and Personal Information Manager (PIM) and Rs. 80 for a combo pack.
MTNL is a state-owned telecom provider which provides its services in Mumbai and Delhi.
