The statement also mentioned that the new handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor and Android 2.2.1 OS. The ‘Vodafone Smart’ phone has been specifically designed for tech savvy customers.

The new Smart will provide users access to games, apps, internet and social networking networks while on the go. The best part about the handset is its low price of Rs. 4,995, due to which it can also be accessed by Indian users looking for a low budget 3G phone.

In addition to this, subscribers can also get a special introductory offer of a double data benefit along with the 3G subscription. Some of the features of the handset include a 2.8-inch capacitive touch display, 2-megapixel camera, MP4/3GP player and video recording. The memory of the phone can be extended up to 32 GB and comes with a free 2GB card. The new handset by the telecom company will be available with a two year warranty at all the leading retail stores across the Asian country. The handset will be competing against all the other leading handsets which are dominant in India including Nokia, Samsung and Motorolla.
