Finnish Mobile manufacturer, Nokia has launched its much waited low cost smartphone Lumia 610 on July 6, 2012 for the Indian market. The Lumia 610 costs ₹12,999 and runs in Windows Phone 7.5 operating system.

The Lumia 610 has features like 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen, 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and LED flash. The smartphone comes with 8GB memory but does not have a micro sd slot.

Instead of the micro sd slot, the phone offers Microsoft SkyDrive cloud storage. In terms of memory the smartphone has 256 MB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon single core 800 Mhz processor.

The Lumia 610 can also be used as a WiFi Hot spot for up to 5 WiFi enabled device. The smartphone will be available in while, black, cyan and magenta colours. During the launch of the Lumia 610 the company also announced its plan to launch the Lumia 900 sometime in the third quarter. Apart from the Lumia 610, the company has also announced a limited edition of Dark Knight Rises Nokia Lumia 800 phone. Just 200 devices of the limited edition phone will be available in India. Nokia has not yet launched its flagship phone Lumia 900 in the country.
