Computer manufacturer Hewlett Packard, on March 7, 2013, has launched its business tablet for the Indian market. The business tablet has been priced at Rs. 43,500 and is powered by the latest processors to provide for a higher computing speed.

Sunish Raghavan, the Printing and Personal Systems Group said, “HP ElitePad 900 is an ultra-thin, lightweight tablet designed for Windows 8. It is the device that can help the enterprise workforce to be more productive, while ensuring security aspects”. The device has been powered by the next generation Intel mobile processors.

The new tablet will provide PC productivity for those who are on the go. Moreover, compatibility with Intel x86 chips will provide support for the existing business applications. Raghavan added, that the ecosystems of the optional HP Smart Jackets and other accessories are specifically designed for the HO ElitePad, thereby expanding its potential.

The tablet weighs just 0.63 Kg, while the HP Elite offers a 10.1-inch diagonal display. The ElitePad price begins from Rs. 43,500. The device has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera for video calling, with LED flash. The tablet also has the Cyber Link YouCam Software, which provides additional video support. The HP ElitePad is optimized for Windows 8 and also supports touch and pen output.
