Computer peripherals manufacturer Zen has launched its new Ultrafone 701 HD in India. The new smartphone will be a rival to the Micromax A116 Canvas HD and is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad core MediaTek MT 6589 processor and has 1GB of RAM. The device runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and has been priced at Rs. 11,999.
The Ultrafone 701 HD is a dual-SIM phone and has a 5-inch display, with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It also comes with an 8-megapixel camera containing a BSI Sensor and a 3.2 megapixel front camera. The device supports full HD video recording capability, burst shot and panorama shot. The new smartphone has external storage of up to 32GB.
Zen has also put other connectivity options like 3G, WCDMA, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth 4.0 with ADP, Wi-Fi and micro USB into the new phone. The Ultrafone also has a 2000 mAh battery, which powers the smartphone with 8 hours of talk time.
The Ultrafone 701 HD also comes preloaded with apps like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, Zen MiniStore, Skype, GTalk, MX Player, Flashlight, Contact Plus, Emoze, TOI and Saavn. This device will be competing with various other smartphones in the market under the same segment. These days, the competition in this segment has increased as many manufacturers are now pushing the boundaries of smartphones and it is becoming tough to stand out from the pack.
