Luxury car maker Mercedes Benz has launched its A Class and now the company is all set to launch the much-awaited and in-demand diesel version of its B Class. B Class diesel is all set to be launched in the Indian market. Reports say that the car is expected to be launched towards the end of June 2013.
The A Class was launched in petrol, as well as diesel option, while B Class was launched in only petrol version for the Indian market. After its launch, B Class was met with reasonable success in the country and the lack of diesel engine keeps the car from performing even better in terms of sales.
However, Mercedes enthusiasts in the country will soon get a diesel option for the B Class, which will be powered by a 2.2-litre engine that also powers the diesel variant of A Class. Same as for A Class, the diesel engine variant of it has been named A180 CDI and the diesel version of the B Class will be known as B180 CDI.
The company says that diesel engine variant must appeal to the ‘diesel car loving’ people.
