After the tie ups with auto companies like Bajaj and LML, Vespa has now become the household name in India. These collaborations have resulted in great scooter sales for Vespa in the country and this time the company has made a third comeback to the Indian market.
With this comeback, Vespa has not yet converted all the attention the LX125 model should get into significant sales, as the vehicle still has a very high price tag. Moreover, even a price revision did not help the new model in terms of sales. However, the company is now launching the new VX variant of Vespa, which will include new features such as brighter colors and a few more mechanical additions.
Other new features of the VX model include updated instrument cluster, MRF zapper tubeless tires as standards, beige color seat as optional with black color, 200mm front disc brake and longer grab rail for the pillion. With the introduction of recent upgrades, the black and maroon colors have been discontinued and the company is yet to announce the pricing of the new variant, which will happen on June 20, 2013.
The company will be selling the VX 125 and the LX 125 scooters together, while the Vespa VX 125 is sold as the top-end model.
