Nokia is all set to launch another phone in the smartphone segment. In recent times, the popular phone maker has been concentrating on the software competition on the market, but is now back to the smartphone segment once again. The Finnish mobile company is now planning to launch its latest 41 MP cam-phone.
On June 13, 2013, Nokia’s main competitor, the South Korean giant Samsung launched a camera-special version of the Galaxy S4, which is called the Galaxy S4 Zoom. The phone has a 16 MP camera with an optical zoom, zoom lens and xenon flash and is not a smartphone, but a cam-phone. So far, the Finnish company positioned itself as a cam-phone maker with their model Nokia 808 Pureview and was quick to respond to Samsung’s latest release.
Just one day after the Galaxy S4 Zoom launch, Nokia sent out press invitations for an event which will be held on July 11, 2013. The press invitation does not contain much details, but it does read: ZOOM REINVENTED. Knowing that the company is not planning to enter the camera market, it is pretty obvious what the invite is all about. The newest phone is expected to come with an external zoom lens and the leaked images have suggested that the zoom lens of Nokia EOS is much smaller and more compact than the bulky Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
