The Aam Admi Party (AAP) – after conquering the Assembly elections in Delhi – announced on December 23, 2013 that it will form the government in New Delhi. The AAP also confirmed that it will form the government with the outside support of the Congress.
The swearing-in ceremony should be held on December 26, 2013. With the current progress, Arvind Kejriwal is expected to be the new chief minister of Delhi. The leader is scheduled to meet the Delhi lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung at 12:30 pm and provide him with a letter to formally stake claim in order to form the government.
The recent step made a remarkable conclusion in the elections, which just came to an end. The anti-corruption campaigner said that he would speak to Najeeb Jung if the ceremony can be held at Jantar Mantar instead of Delhi’s Raj Bhavan. The upcoming chief minister will become the youngest chief minister of Delhi at the age of 45. On the other hand, the former chief minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit said that the Congress wished AAP all the best and hoped it could fulfill what it promised to the people.
Kejriwal is expected to begin removing the offensive symbols of VIP culture, including cars fitted with red beacons, as well as screeching hooters. The ministers of the party will be staying in their regular accommodations, instead of the luxurious bungalows in Delhi.
