Indian auto giant Tata Motors is all set to increase its sales and has announced that it will launch two cars per year from now on. However, the company is yet to announce if it will launch new cars on entirely new platforms or variants of the current models.
Tata Motors has been facing a tough time in the market recently due to lack of new cars, as well as fierce competition from the rivals. Due to such situation, Tata announced its decision and is working on a comeback in the country’s passenger vehicles market. Tata is all set to launch its new hatchback Bolt and compact sedan Zest in the Indian market during the second half of 2014.
With the upcoming launches, the company is looking for a major kick-start for its revival under the 2020 plan. Ranjit Yadav, the Tata Motors president said that they are working hard on product development and added, “The Nexon, for example, would be commercialized and will be available for sale in the next 24 months. The portfolio will get up filled very quickly.”
The new Nexon is a concept compact SUV which was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014. Tata Motors will be launching more cars after the Bolt, Nexon and the Zest.
