Search engine giant Google might be introducing the voice-to-text dictation feature on Google Drive in the near future. The latest information on the progress was mentioned in a blog post written by Marques Brownlee on Google+, in which four screenshots have been showed of the voice button within the Google Drive menu.
However, no further details have been provided on when the voice-to-text dictation service will be launched and available for all users. It is presumed that the service will be rolled out gradually once it is officially announced, just like other updates from Google. So far, no official announcement has been made about the update to Google Drive and no additional details about the service are available at the moment.
The images have showcased the voice-assist feature and the feature in question is likely to be the same as it is seen on various Google services. Search engine giant Google brought the voice-assist feature to Chrome Beta version. Chrome Beta will have the voice-search feature which will allow users to activate search through the ‘OK Google’ voice command and was first introduced in KitKat through the Google Now Launcher.
Moreover, users can also use the feature in order to set timers and create reminders, apart from performing searches and having their questions answered.
